My journey over the years has been shaped by opportunities to learn, lead, and express myself — both on the shop floor and beyond. From technical training to creative projects, every step has helped me grow personally and professionally. Here's my story.
Building the Foundation at EVTS
In 2017, I joined the ELGi Vocational Training School (EVTS) after completing my 12th standard. EVTS gave me more than technical knowledge — it gave me confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of purpose. The three years I spent there, with hands-on training and classroom learning, prepared me for real-world challenges. More importantly, it instilled a belief that growth is always within reach when you're in the right environment.
Stepping into the Shop Floor
In 2021, I began my professional journey as a Technical Associate in the Casting Machine Shop. Transitioning from training to real-time production was exciting and challenging. With every new machine, operation, and task, I gained technical expertise. The support from my team and the trust they placed in me made it easier for me to learn, contribute, and evolve.
ELGi also stood by me during this phase — not just professionally but personally. The work environment fostered stability, growth, and a strong sense of belonging.
Finding My Creative Space — ELGi Talkies
While my technical role kept me engaged, ELGi also encouraged me to explore my creative side. I became part of ELGi Talkies, a platform to showcase the company's culture and values through videos. From acting and video editing to scriptwriting and music creation, I found a space to express my creativity. It was rewarding to contribute beyond my technical role and connect with people across departments.
I also participated in company events, such as Family Day and Sports Day, which allowed me to build relationships and grow in confidence outside the shop floor.
Fulfilment Beyond Work
ELGi has always supported not only our careers but also our milestones. From helping me achieve financial stability to supporting family responsibilities, the organization has been more than just a workplace — it has been a partner in my journey.
Today, I proudly say that I've been able to fulfil personal responsibilities and create memorable experiences with my family — made possible through the opportunities and support I've received at ELGi.
