State of The Future Art
ELGi celebrates its innovations on Technology Day
“The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible.” – Arthur C. Clarke
Innovation is more important, now, than it ever has been. New business models, products, services and processes – all bring with them the promise of growth, competitive advantage and organizational performance. However, global studies reveal that while 80% of executives surveyed said innovation was a top-three priority at their companies, only 30% said their organizations were good at it. What does it take for an organization to truly embody the culture of innovation? I will touch upon how ELGi, has over the years focused on fostering a spirit of innovation across the organization.
Now, air compressor technology is fast evolving to reach breakthrough levels of performance and efficiency, the world over. Since its inception, ELGi has focused on adopting innovation as a key differentiator, keeping pace with global compressor technology trends and evolving customer needs. With a view to formalizing this objective, we at ELGi, launched the ‘State of The Future Art’– a signature initiative focused on fostering innovation, and more specifically, innovation in technology and product development.
Celebrated every year on the 15th of December, the ‘State of The Future Art’ themed Technology Day brings together young engineering minds from the ELGi Global Technology Center, the academia and industry experts, and provides a robust platform for them to ideate and showcase breakthrough technology through a series of presentations, product displays, knowledge sharing and interactive panel discussions. The outcome? Firstly, we’ve witnessed an overwhelming response with presentations ranging from advanced technology innovations and game-changing creativity in product development. Secondly, via our partnerships with the academia we’re developing the engineering and technology specialists of the future.
Today, I am both humbled and proud to celebrate Technology Day 2019 with the ELGi Global Technology Center. And I will request you to watch this space for the photo highlights from the 2nd edition of ELGi’s Technology Day.
