March 10th marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my professional journey. From the moment I arrived at ELGi headquarters, I was welcomed with warmth and hospitality. The HR team ensured the onboarding process was smooth, and the welcome kit was a thoughtful gesture that made me feel part of the family right away.
Later that day, I visited the ACP plant, where I met my team and reporting manager. A guided tour of the facility gave me my first real insight into ELGi's operations. I was genuinely impressed by the world-class infrastructure and the technological advancements that support ELGi's global reputation. That day filled me with confidence — I knew I was in the right place to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully.
A Typical Day at ELGi
As a Production Engineer, no two days are exactly alike, but each day is packed with opportunities to learn and make a difference.
The day begins with discussions alongside my colleagues — aligning priorities, pre-planning operations, and ensuring our shop floor team has everything they need. We focus on machine readiness, maintenance requirements, and safety checks, all of which are supported by the maintenance team.
Our midday break is a welcome recharge, thanks to the healthy meals provided within the organization. The second half of the day is dedicated to preparing for the next shift, which involves executing load plans, ensuring material availability, and aligning the workforce.
The day usually ends with a sense of satisfaction as I leave the facility, watching the sunset, knowing I've contributed to something meaningful.
